Description
Sarracenia flava var. atropurpurea — all red tube, Blackwater River State Forest, Florida
This carnivorous plant is very easy to grow, as long as you observe a few rules: grow outdoors (frost-resistant to -20°C), in full sunlight, soak the pot in a saucer always full of non-calcareous water (rainwater, demineralized water, etc.). Blonde peat substrate, never fertilize.
As the plant is shipped bare-rooted, you’ll need a pot (preferably plastic, fairly deep, about 3 liters) and blond peat moss to repot it as soon as you receive it.
