Darlingtonia

The cobra plant (Darlingtonia californica) is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Sarraceniaceae family. It is the only species of the genus “Darlingtonia”. Its erect serpent shape is reminiscent of a cobra in a position of intimidation. This is the reason why it is given the nickname “cobra plant”.

This carnivorous plant is native to Oregon and northern California.
