Description

Sent in pots with a minimum of 2 plants!

Natural hybrid of D.Lineraris and D.Rotundifolia.

Perennial plant, 5 cm in diameter.

Resistant to temperatures down to -5°c, it hibernates in winter, lives for several years and can be grown in full sun.

I grow it in a cold greenhouse.

Growing conditions for Drosera Lineraris x Rotundifolia:

SUBSTRAT

Your choice :

-2/3 white peat 1/3 perlite

-2/3 blond peat 1/3 Loire sand<== I recommend this one.

TEMPERATURE

Summer :
maximum 35°C, (can tolerate more provided it has a well-moistened substrate)
Winter:
-5°C, can withstand frost in a cold greenhouse.

Ideal temperatures: In the growing season 20-30 degrees, make sure not to exceed 40 degrees.

In the dormant period 0-10 degrees, make sure not to go below -5 degrees.

WATER and HYGROMETRY

Water:
A saucer or tub with about two centimetres of water should submerge the base of the pot, or even up to the height of the pot in summer. In winter, the substrate should always be damp, but not soggy.
Hygrometry:
Not important for this species.

LIGHT

High light levels, especially during the growing season. A good luminosity allows a beautiful coloration and a good development of the plant.

DORMANT PERIOD

:

Growing season: February to November.

Dormant period: November to February (during this period, watering should be limited to just a damp substrate).

The plant loses all its traps and keeps all its energy in a kind of small bulb called hibernacle.
