Description
Catopsis berteroniana is a carnivorous bromeliad native to the tropical forests of Central America and the Caribbean. Unlike conventional carnivorous plants, it captures its prey passively, thanks to leaves coated with a fine reflective powder that traps insects and prevents them from escaping. This epiphytic plant often grows clinging to trees, taking advantage of light and ambient humidity to thrive.
Easy to care for, it thrives in a bright, high-humidity environment, making it ideal for growing in greenhouses or terrariums. It is distinguished by its yellow-green rosette leaves and elegant appearance.
