Description
Carnivorous plant Pinguicula pilosa (Mexican pinguicula)
Pinguicula pilosa is a carnivorous plant that captures small midges. An easy plant to grow, as long as you observe a few rules: grow behind a bright window, under LEDs or in a frost-free cold greenhouse, substrate moist in summer (1 cm in the saucer) and dry in winter (December to May).
Recommended substrate for Mexican pinguicula: mineral and draining, 15% white peat + pozzolan and/or sand and/or perlite and/or vermiculite…
I’m sending a good-sized bare-root plant (~4 cm in diameter). You’ll need a small pot and some substrate to repot it on arrival.
