Description
A powerhouse hybrid that features impressively long strap like foliage, making it one of the largest Mexican butterworts.
Pinguicula Hawkesbury is a truly magnificent cross designed for maximum impact. This hybrid inherits the robust scale of Pinguicula gigantea Ayautla alongside the clean, dew-covered leaf surfaces that trap bugs effortlessly. From Pinguicula moctezumae, it takes on a narrower, more elongated leaf structure, forming a vast, exploding rosette of sticky green ribbons.
Named after and originating from Hawkesbury, Australia, though the parent species Pinguicula moctezumae and Pinguicula gigantea Ayautla are native to Mexico. It is a vigorous grower that quickly becomes the centerpiece of any terrarium or carnivorous collection, while acting as a natural trap for larger quantities of gnats.
